JLMeS Journal Policies

JLMES is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing. The following policies are publicly displayed to guide authors, reviewers, and readers.

1. Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Journal of Logistics, Management and Engineering Science (JLMES) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. All authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher are expected to follow internationally accepted ethical principles. Unethical practices, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, or improper authorship, are strictly prohibited and addressed according to the journal’s editorial policies. 2. Errata and  Retraction Statement

JLMES maintains the accuracy and integrity of its publications by issuing errata for minor errors and retractions for serious errors, ethical violations, or research misconduct. All corrections are clearly labelled, promptly published, and permanently linked to the original article, in accordance with COPE Retraction Guidelines https://publicationethics.org/guidance/guideline/retraction-guidelines

3. Data Set and Data Availability Statement

JLMES promotes transparency and reproducibility in research. Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement specifying whether the data supporting the study’s findings are publicly available or can be obtained from the corresponding author upon reasonable request. Where applicable, authors are encouraged to deposit datasets in recognized repositories, including the institutional repository, and to provide relevant access links. 4. Gender, Language, and Racial Inclusion Statement

JLMES promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion in scholarly publishing and does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Authors are expected to use inclusive and unbiased language, and editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit and quality, in line with COPE guidance https://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 5 https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal5 and SDG 10 https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal10).

5. Plagiarism and Publication Statement

JLMES applies a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All manuscripts are screened using similarity-detection tools (Turnitin). Plagiarism, including verbatim copying, self-plagiarism, improper paraphrasing, or uncredited use of others’ work, is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity (above 30%) or undeclared AI-generated content may be rejected or retracted. 6. Open Access Policy and Institutional Repository Statement

JLMES are available as Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This ensures that readers may freely read, download, copy, and share the work in accordance with the license terms, while maintaining the integrity of the content. Additionally, all published articles are archived in the institutional repository https://jlmes.nit.ac.tz/Site/archives ,guaranteeing long-term preservation, enhanced visibility, and sustained scholarly impact.
